First off, this book is GORGEOUS. I already have two copies of Little Men, but when I saw this, I HAD to buy it! Totally worth every penny!! I love the design, the colors, the texture, and of COURSE Louisa May Alcott's beautiful writing. This is literature. This story is so beautiful and Jo’s example makes me want to be a better mother to my boys. Buy this book!!Product details

Love this series
Vintage copy in great shape and I can’t wait to read it, but the cover doesn’t look at all like the one shown that I thought I was ordering.
This book is nowhere near as good as "Little Women," but it's nice to see the future of Jo, Meg, Amy, Laurie, and all of the family, though the adults are featured very little. The boys that Jo and her husband are raising and teaching get into fun, silly adventures. This book is both heartwarming and, at times, heart-wrenching. If you like stories about children and their joys and triumphs, you'll enjoy this sweet little book.
All that being said, the version has MANY editorial mistakes; words missing, misspelled, a word which was clearly mistakenly entered in place of another, etc.
My third/fourth grader just loved reading this add on to Little Women. He has read it a couple of time and loves Louisa Alcott.
We have a reading program for our grandchildren. We offer monetary incentives for extra curricular reading of selected books. Encouraging them to expand their knowledge of classics and success principles. At the same time we try to keep book cost down. He is enjoying the reading.
This book has a lot of moral lessons that can encourage children to do the right thing. Each character in the book has something a child can relate to, for there are many characters described in the book. Especially Dan, one of the main characters, who was a bully through out half the book. A little bit of comedy, a couple morals, can really motivate a child to change into a new light. This book deserves five stars.
